Argento: Fairtrade Virtual Panel and Wine Tasting
October 2023
Colangelo & Partners collaborated with Bodega Argento and Fairtrade America to coordinate a virtual panel and tasting event in honor of Fairtrade Month on Tuesday, October 24th, for 12 media and trade attendees.
How I helped:
Researched media and trade to pitch and secure attendance
Sent out “Save the Date” emails to secure attendees ahead of time
Crafted invite copy and shared it with the client for approval before distributing
Received and inventoried wines, POS, and Fairtrade products needed for the event
Packed “gift bags” for all attendees and shipped them prior to the event
Coordinated an introductory call for all panelist to meet with the moderator to discuss talking points and questions for the event, and another run of show call to align with the client
Shared a media brief with the panelists for them to familiarize themselves with the attendees
Monitored questions and comments in the chat during the event
Recorded the event to share with the client and the attendees afterwards
Sent attendees their own media kits that included relevant assets for each wine as well as additional information on Group Avinea, Matriz Viva, and Fairtrade America before and after the event

How I helped:
Researched trade contacts and built extensive invite lists to secure attendance
Sent out “Save the Date” emails to secure attendees ahead of time
Crafted invite copy and got it approved by project lead and client
Designed and sent out invites via Campaign Monitor
Used idloom to monitor RSVPs and conducted follow-ups accordingly
Secured 100+ trade attendees
Printed name tags for attendees and welcomed them at the event
Assisted on site during and after the event to ensure everything went smoothly
Compiled a comprehensive report post-event to summarize outcomes and insights for the client
Capstone Research Paper: Taylor Swift and Rebranding
January 2024 - May 2024
The capstone paper marks the successful culmination of the Public Relations and Corporate Communications program. Through this paper, each student explores a particular challenge in the field of public relations and/or corporate communication, selected with faculty approval and conducted under the stewardship of a faculty member as adviser.
My topic: What Brands Can Learn From Taylor Swift About Rebranding and Relevancy
Problem Statement: In the face of rapid technological and cultural change, Taylor Swift has managed to remain authentic while holding onto a kind of success and relevancy few brands have been able to replicate. The inability to maintain relevancy over time has put some older brands at risk of losing popularity and retaining consumers.
What I did:
Conducted an exhaustive literature review of Taylor Swift’s career
Analyzed rebranding campaigns of other brands through detailed case studies to examine recurring patterns conducive to rebranding success and sustained brand relevance
Created and distributed a survey to gather public opinions on the impact of rebranding, comparing these insights to Taylor Swift’s strategies for staying relevant.
Held interviews with 4 industry professionals to gain further insights on brand longevity, and how Taylor Swift’s approach can be applied to corporate rebranding strategies
Wrote a 70+ page paper on my findings
